Drive connected but drive safe
We are in the middle of a nationwide campaign by the police to crack down on mobile phone use while at the wheel.
Recently a lorry driver was spotted on a motorway using TWO mobile phones at the same time! He must have been steering his left-hand drive lorry with his knees. Most people are not that stupid of course, but using a phone by holding it in your hands while driving could get you a £200 fine and six penalty points on your licence - and in the worst case scenario injury or death to driver and possibly other road users.
Hands-free usage doesn't always get you off the hook though - if it is shown that using hands free has distracted a driver, then £100 fiine and three points will follow.
